According to the prophecy of St. Malachy, Petrus Romanus has arrived. Pope Francis I, formerly known as Jorge Mario Bergoglio, was the son of an Italian railroad worker from Turin, Italy. While those of shallow vision will be quick to point out “his name is not Peter,” prophecy is often fulfilled enigmatically in a manner not entirely clear until it is resolved. For example, who could have known that “labor of the sun” John Paul II would be buried during eclipse until his papacy had ended? We have stated from the beginning that the title “Peter the Roman” was likely symbolic. All popes claim apostolic succession from Peter and for this reason it is called the Petrine office. For instance, Tom Horn stated in a recent interview for World Net Daily:
Regardless, Horn said he’s always maintained that it doesn’t take someone whose Christian name is Peter to fulfill the prophecy. “In fact, if any Italian is elected, that would be a fairly transparent fulfillment,” he said. Moreover, he argued, “in a very general sense, every pope could be regarded as ‘Peter the Roman,’ and in that sense, this could be the last one.”[1]
Rome was an empire and a city so his Italian ancestry arguably meets the Roman aspect albeit in an oblique way. Interestingly, Rene Thibaut, the Jesuit who wrote in 1950 that the papacy would be abdicated in 2012, rejected the possibility of a pope named Peter and wrote that the name symbolized the totality of the papacy:
There is only one Peter, the first of the Roman pontiffs, and he was seen in his many successors. He still to serve in the final as in the first persecution. We believe Petrus Romanus represents all the Roman Pontiffs from St. Peter to the recipient Gloria Olivae.[2]
In Thibaut’s reckoning all the ambitions and pretensions of the papal dynasty are now encompassed in one man. Paramount is the fact that he is the first ever Jesuit pope. This has great prophetic significance as the Jesuit order was formed to specifically to combat the protestant reformation and assert papal supremacy over the entire world. According to a historian, “The Jesuits were the soldiers of the pope: they knew no law but the will of their general, no mode of worship but the pope’s dictate no church but themselves.” [3] Because of this, the Jesuit order was suppressed and disbanded for its pernicious skullduggery by Pope Clement XIV in 1773 and by the mid-eighteenth century, the Jesuits had earned a bad reputation in Europe for political maneuvering and economic exploitation bar none. Interestingly, Pope Benedict XVI addressed the Jesuit order in 2008 encouraging them reinvigorate the fourth vow. He said,
For this very reason I have invited you and also invite you today to reflect in order to rediscover the fullest meaning of your characteristic “fourth vow” of obedience to the Successor of Peter, …[4]
The fourth vow of obedience to the pope is one of “absolute subservience to the pope; to do whatever he enjoined, and go on any service he wished, and into any quarter of the globe.”[5] A few ex-Jesuits have called this a blood oath involving pagan rites which were laid bare in the suppressed document “Jesuit Extreme Oath of Induction” which was recorded in records of the U.S. Congress. According to this document, they are indoctrinated into the principle of IUSTUM, NECAR, REGES, IMPIOUS:
When a Jesuit of the minor rank is to be elevated to command, he is conducted into the Chapel of the Convent of the Order, where there are only three others present, the principal or Superior standing in front of the altar. On either side stands a monk, one of whom holds a banner of yellow and white, which are the Papal colours, and the other a black banner with a dagger and red cross above a skull and crossbones, with the word INRI, and below them the words IUSTUM NECAR REGES IMPIUS. The meaning of which is: It is just to exterminate or annihilate impious or heretical Kings, Governments, or Rulers.[6]

In Petrus Romanus we stated our belief that the name “Peter the Roman” implies this pope “will reaffirm the authority of the Roman Pontiff over the Church” and “will emphasize the supremacy of the Roman Catholic Faith and the Roman Catholic Church above all other religions and denominations, and its authority over all Christians and all peoples of the world.”[8] This seems in line with the Jesuit agenda. Still more, Catholic mystic Ronald L. Conte Jr., who predicted in 2002 that the successor to John Paul II would choose the name Benedict XVI, commented on 3-13-13:
I never expected Peter the Roman to be Italian or Roman or to have the first name Peter, or to take the papal name “Peter”. So these points do not imply that Pope Francis is not Peter the Roman. The prophetic phrases of St. Malachy describe the Pontificate of each Pope, not his name.[9]
According to Conte, “During the reign of Pope Peter the Roman, the great apostasy begins” and this pope will mark “the first part of the tribulation, during our generation.”[10]
The media and Catholic faithful have been celebrating his choice of the papal name Francis, which is a first, and most folks assume it is inspired by St. Francis of Assisi. Interestingly, in Petrus Romanus we wrote of an apocalyptic prophecy given by the alleged namesake:
Even Saint Francis of Assisi—one of the most venerated religious figures in history—gathered his devotees shortly before his death and prophesied that: “At the time of this tribulation a man, not canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavor to draw many into error and death… Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it…for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor, but a destroyer.”[11]
Was there something uncannonical about the election of Pope Francis I? It seems arguable. For starters, Pope Benedict XVI simply retiring makes for an unprecedented situation. Next, the fifteen day rule between the vacancy of the office and the start of the conclave was circumvented in order to speed up the process. The two living popes situation alone supports a charge of one “not canonically elected” but more mysteriously, there seems to be something fishy going on with his heraldry. According to one expert, “As can be seen on the coat of arms, he was not a bishop, despite being cardinal.”[12] This was Cardinal Bergoglio’s coat of arms as of 2010:

It uses the Jesuit Solar deity symbol, The Jesuits maintian that IHS stands for first three letters of the Greek name of Jesus, iota-eta-sigma but if so the name is Ἰησοῦς so why not use the Greek letters Ι Η Σ ? However, even though his coat of arms (dated 2001) lacked the required cross, we know that he was in fact a bishop prior to 2001. Bergoglio was named Auxiliary Bishop of Buenos Aires in 1992 and was ordained on 27 June 1992 as Titular Bishop of Auca.[13] This is extremely odd and has prompted heraldic specialists to assert ineptitude on the part of its designer.[14] It suggests something is amiss. Could the strange rule bending circumstances surrounding Pope Benedict XVI’s retirement suggest he is the uncannonical pope that St. Francis prophesied? Apocalyptic Franciscan prophecies and heraldic guffaws aside, many have overlooked another Catholic Saint he could have drawn the papal name from: St. Francis Xavier, a fellow Jesuit infamous for inspiring the Goa inquisition. This extended the European inquisition to the Indian state of Goa and the Portuguese empire in Asia, a repugnant affair in which some 16,202 persons were brought to trial resulting in untold numbers of executions by burning at the stake amongst lesser tortures.[15]
While we don’t normally put a lot of stock in numerology, the great biblical scholar and Anglican theologian E.W. Bullinger wrote an exhaustive treatise in the 19th century which has yielded some interesting connections to the new Pontiff. The numbers surrounding Pope Francis’ election keep coming up thirteen. White smoke at 7:06 PM which in numerology 7 + 6 = 13 and he is 76 years old 7 + 6 = 13 and then he was elected on the calendar date 3/13/13 which sports two 13s of its own but in numerology 3/13/2013 also yields 3+1+3+2+0+1+3=13 and he was announced at precisely 8:13 PM Vatican time or in military and European time 20:13 making for 3/13/2013 at 20:13. According to Bullinger:
As to the significance of thirteen, all are aware that it has come down to us as a number of ill-omen. Many superstitions cluster around it, and various explanations are current concerning them.
Unfortunately, those who go backwards to find a reason seldom go back far enough. The popular explanations do not, so far as we are aware, go further back than the Apostles. But we must go back to the first occurrence of the number thirteen in order to discover the key to its significance. It occurs first in Genesis 14:4, where we read “Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and the thirteenth year they REBELLED.”
Hence every occurrence of the number thirteen, and likewise of every multiple of it, stamps that with which it stands in connection with rebellion, apostasy, defection, corruption, disintegration, revolution, or some kindred idea.[16]
This ill omen suggests the “many tribulations” of the Malachy prophecy could coincide with the apostasy of 2 Thes. 2:3 but Bullinger goes on to cite an exhaustive list of thirteens and factors of thirteen including examples like:
Satan, in Hebrew = 364 (13 x 28) שָׂטָן
Satan, in Greek = 2197 (133) “That old serpent, even Satan” (ὁ ὄφις ὁ ἀρχαῖος… καὶ ὁ Σατανᾶς) 2756 (13 x 212)
“According to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air” = 9178181 (13 x 706)
“The power of the air” = 2600 (13 x 200) [17]
While we could go on and on (Bullinger does) with a long list of similar demonic thirteens, one verse in particular is pertinent:
Revelation 13:11, The whole verse = 6318 (13x486)
θηρίον (theerion), beast = 247 (13x19)
ἅλλο θηρίον (hallo theerion), another beast = 378 (9×42)
“He had two horns” = 1521 (132x9)
“And he had two horns like a lamb” = 2704 (132x16) [18]
“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.” (Revelation 13:11, AV)
Do all of these thirteens add up to a coincidence? That’s up to you decide. But the biblical prophecy alone points toward the papacy. Indeed this second beast is predicted to be viewed “like a lamb” and the accolades expressed on 3/13/2013 at 20:13 support that perception. This probably seems mean spirited to some but as protestants we feel well within our rights to assert that all claimants to Vicar “instead ”of Christ as false prophets.[19] However, if the predictions of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Malachy are truly at their culmination, then the second beast, the one from the earth, who is called the “false prophet” (Rev. 16:13; 19:20; 20:10) or Petrus Romanus who will lead the world to worship the dragon, has arrived in Pope Francis but I am not a prophet… only time will tell.

I think that the Jesuits were implicated in bringing DOWN the church via Vatican II, not holding it together. The German Jesuits in particular were instrumental in ramming through Vatican II, which dealt a direct blow to the authority of the church and softened its position in the world such that it became corrupted from the inside. This is well documented by many who attended, including Father Malachy Martin and the archbishop of England at that time, who wrote about it in his autobiography. Zach, I didn’t say I didn’t agree with the Protocols. That’s why “debunked” is written the way it is. (I guess my meaning got lost there somehow.) I also wrote that I believe the Khazarian “conspiracy”, so when I see someone say it was “debunked”, I always wonder who it is doing the debunking! (Along with who is rewriting history as we go along.)

Sad but true. It’s a BIG part of HUMILITY. That virtue is scarce and in some cases, non-existant in the body of Christ. With all the ‘hard to dicyfer’ scriptures in the Bible it’s easy to see why God wouldn’t give clarity to them. I can see Him saying; “You can’t even get the EASY ones right!”

Before I got saved I used to watch a movie called “Life of Brian”. It is a parody between Brian’s life and Jesus. If I were to watch it today without a doubt, I believe that most of it would be blasphemous. They have a segment in the movie which goes into numerous and numerous examples of the “Only” way to be saved. “No, you must have your left foot in your right hand as you hold onto the gourd of life”. As we read these comments on the board it shouldn’t surprise us as to the estimate of Christian Denominations. Somewhere between 35-45,000, and we want to blame the Jews for failing in their mission. As far as the video on shapeshift yes this is quite possible and I have personally witnessed it myself years ago what looked like a mix of human and wolf type being. Interestingly it happened in a public place and noone else seemed to notice. It caught me off guard and I experienced a bit of a shock and was literally stunned for a moment. When I came to my senses a few seconds later I was looking around trying to locate this individual but he was gone into a crowd. They sense when you are able to see them for what they are and they tend to flee in such cases. Keep in mind that our eyes can only see and process a limited spectrum of visible light therefore these types of individuals are hiding just outside of that spectrum and at times for whatever reason they collapse into our field of vision. There will be more of these type of projections moving forward.

Sandy, I do not think they are fallen angels or demons but rather genetically created by some form of higher order physics mixing human and animal DNA not much different than the apparent gray alien drones. They can be demonized and are more than likely creations of fallen angels directly or indirectly via those that follow them through numerous underground labs at least on this planet. There is a supernatural component involved as well thus they are not just physically engineered shells. We know through research and experience that the power of Jesus Christ drives these entities away so I would not worry or fear too much over it. But it is good to be aware of the possibility to minimize the potential shock and awe factor.

These most beautiful words of Jesus’ teachings the night before His death, provides the Catholic Church with powerful TRUTHS! And Yes, The Rapture of believers is one of these powerful TRUTHS included in Christ’s last minute disclosure! (That we may be where He is!)
Comparing John 14:1-3 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13 we see amazing parallels! The obvious fact that John 14:1-3 is a rapture reference is supported by the progression of words and thoughts when compared to Paul’s more extensive rapture passage (1 Thess. 4:13-18). This is exactly what Christ said in the Upper Room Discourse! Jesus said that He would introduce them to items the night before His death and later when the Holy Spirit would come He would expand upon them more fully.
Read these passages again prayerfully and you may see the obvious, that the words are almost an exact parallel! They follow one another in both passages in exactly the same order! Only the righteous are dealt with in each case! There is not a single irregularity in the progression of words from first to last! Both scripture passages take the believer from the troubles of earth to the glories of heaven!
In light of comparing Scripture with Scripture, it appears obvious that Jesus’ teaching in John 14:1-3 and Paul’s revelation in 1 Thessalonians 4:13 speak of the same event-the Rapture of the Church! How else does one explain the progression of eight specific words/phrases in exactly the same order, in two different passages, by two different spokesmen? It is clear that these passages refer to a single future event — the Rapture of the Catholic Church Believers & those of other separated Believers! Yes! We learn that the Catholic Church’s blessed hope was first revealed by our Lord on the eve of His crucifixion to His disciples as they grieved over His departure. Later, the doctrine of the Rapture was explained in greater detail via Paul’s revelation to give comfort to the Thessalonians who were faced with a similar problem of departing loved ones that Jesus dealt with in the Upper Room with His disciples. Now, 2,000 years later and all around the world, today’s Catholic Church can be comforted by the hope that in the next moment of time we could be face-to-face with our Lord, in the Father’s house, via the Rapture of the Church. THE ESCAPE
Jesus warned us in the scriptures, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE* all these things that shall come to pass, and to STAND BEFORE THE SON OF MAN.” (Luke 21:36) The word “Escape” used here in the Bible is the Greek word “Ekpheugo” meaning to take out of time & place.

I will make a few comments in a general way, then you can do your own due diligence, if you so choose? The Apostle Paul was chosen by the Risen Savior to be the Apostle to the Gentiles. He wrote almost half of our NT. If you do a study as time progressed Peter eventually wrote that “Paul’s writings were hard to understand, but listen to Paul”. Paul is the only writer that addresses several mysteries, one of which is the Body of Christ, the Body of Christ is the called out ones during this dispensation of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If you are going to have the need for a Pope, then Paul would be the man. If you continue to study you will see as time progressed that James moved to the forefront as leader of the Jerusalem Church. Acts 15 If I might also address this issue that seems to be even more pervasive by the day, that Mary is Co-Redemptor with Jesus. It has been a while since I looked at this, and if I am wrong then I am wrong. My understanding is that in the original language the name Mary is Miriam, which means “Rebel”. We are all in Rebellion. Even her name states the condition of man we are all in rebellion against God. Last but not least, by Jesus own words “Bigger is not Better”. The Catholic Church has approx 1.2 Billion members? Peter was likely never the bishop of Rome. The New Testament is all you need to see the truth of this. 1)Peter was the apostle to the Jews, Paul was to the gentiles. 2) Peter last appears in Acts 15 (this is when Rome claims he was already the bishop). Acts then turns to Paul and ends with Paul arrested in Rome but Peter is never mentioned as being there. This is odd that Luke would leave out his prescence, it doesn’t follow he would neglect it, so Peter was likely not there. 3) Paul’s letter to the Romans sends greeting to 29 people – this is during the time Catholics say Peter was bishop of Rome – but Paul does not greet Peter as a member of the church in Rome, clearly Peter was not there. 4) Irenaeus – who was one generation from the apostles – lists Linus as the first bishop of Rome and Peter was not listed. 5) An ossuary was found in a 1st century Christian burial ground in the Mt of Olives inscribed with “Simon bar Jonah.”

Any one of you, including Rabbi’s, now need to answer the question as to “why” the Jewish religion has celebrated the “Passover Day” on the Waning Moon night, instead of the Full Moon night written in the Bible?
Historically this day was changed in 625 b.c. after a group of Rabbi’s made this change in the ancient practice.
Why also does the Jewish faith then claim to celebrate it’s weekly Sabbath count on the Gregorian Saturday, when the Rabbi’s all are familiar with keeping the same day as previously selected each year as the true day of worship?

We read in Luke’s Gospel that Jesus also mentioned “all the trees” – just what are we to make of this? Jesus said to learn the parable of the fig tree and all the trees. We learned what is the Scriptural meaning of the fig tree, but what do “all the trees” represent?
Ezekiel 20:46-48 contains ONE OF NUMEROUS examples of nations represented as trees. However, perhaps the most telling of all is Ezekiel 31:3-15. There Assyria is likened to a cedar of Lebanon that was greater than all the other trees (which is to say nations). “Therefore its height was exalted above all the trees of the field… and in its shadow all great nations made their home,” (Ezekiel 31:5, 6). God describes how Assyria, the cedar of Lebanon was greater than other kinds of trees though God would send another to cut it down.
Daniel 4:10-11 and Zechariah 11:2 also offer more examples of rulers and nations represented as trees. With the background of the Old Testament, we can now turn back to the New Testament and find Jesus’ use of seed (Matthew 13:6, 40), vine branches (John 15:6) and trees (Luke 3:9; 21:29) to represent people or nations not surprising but very much in keeping with the Scriptures. Therefore, let’s look again at Luke 21:29 “Then He spoke to them a parable: ‘Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.'” The fig tree is Israel and therefore all the trees are other nations. The question then becomes which nations was He referring to?
The answer comes from the comparison with the fig tree; it was dried and then sprouted again. Israel was dried for many years and then came back to be a nation. It would appear therefore that Jesus was referring to other nations close to Israel which would also be reborn. What is astounding to discover is that all of the countries that border Israel came back to be independent nation states around the same time as Israel. The CIA World Fact Book discusses how Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and Egypt gained their independence all between the years 1943 and 1952 – all within five years of the birth of Israel.

But Infallibility is reserved ex cathedra. No popes in the history of the Church have ever made ex cathedra errors. Ex cathedra refers to when the Holy Father speaks in the full capacity of his office from the cathedra or seat of Peter to authoritatively define a dogma of the Church. In 2000 years, no pope has ever changed or added anything to the “deposit of faith.” The declaration of Christ that Peter is “rock” has obviously endured, tied as it is to the promise that “the Spirit of truth will lead you into all truth” and “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” The idea that a pope is going to change the Church’s infallible teachings, as your views allege, contradicts Our Lord himself.
It must also be said that your books which suggest that Pope Francis is a “false prophet”—is morally grave. It is reprehensible on the account that Francis is a man whose personal example and orthodoxy have been stellar, not only as a cardinal, but in his short reign at the helm of Peter’s Barque. Such an assertion even implicates Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI who has publicly pledged his obedience to the new pope. Furthermore, Pope Benedict was not forced out of the Vatican, as some seem to allege, but “with full freedom” resigned, leaving the seat of Peter vacant due to poor health (unless one wants to assert that Benedict is a liar).

Another of those Mysteries is the Catching Away of the Body until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. Then the Lord will use his anvil Israel on an unbelieving world as we see in Daniel 9:24-27. My point is how many traditions do you need to add to the Gospel 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 ? That is similar to saying how many works must I do, is it the right works, and can I know and will I ever do enough? I graduated from a Catholic college. I dated a girl who hated the Apostle Paul that should have told me something, but at that time I was as spiritually dead as a telephone pole. She told me the nuns where she had gone to school told her just wear this medal that we are giving you, and no matter what sin you commit, if you were to die you would go to Heaven. The wife is seen as a great gift from God. This can only come about by following the Catholic Church teachings. Today everyone wants it now with no sacrifice and I believe many great blessings are lost due to spiritual laziness. Birthrates are falling, divorce is through the roof, as well as STDs, parent-less children are growing up and filling our prisons to capacity etc. etc. etc. Jesus commanded us to follow all his teachings! He has established the Catholic Universal Church and if Martin Luther had been patient and worked on building through prayer, an opposition to the evil men who were trying to take over the Church, as gays are doing today filling the ranks of the priesthood, history would have been much better for the Church. The devil knows a house divided cannot stand. Look at Saint Francis of Assisi. He saw the corruption in the Church, as men are corrupt, (they always bring in corruption we must fight) and he began a grass roots movement to change the Church and bring it back toward holiness. Saint Francis was no mamby pamby as the world would have us believe with garden statues and birds on the shoulder. Saint Francis was a brave bold man of faith. He even traveled to the Middle East and at risk of his life and went face to face with the muslim Saladin! So you see, if you really follow Jesus, (including John 6:1-65, to avoid John 6:66) then you would obey all His Commands and be more in Communion with the Catholic Church. Division is a work of the Devil and I am not advocating a one world religion. It is obvious that Christians should be ONE just as Jesus prayed in the Gospel over and over, because He knows all and knows that unity in the Church is so very important to overcome Satan and his evil plans. If we are following the Holy Scriptures then a one world religion is impossible and we should as Christians not avoid unity in fear of the future. My understanding is that eight times in the Koran it states, and not in very good terms, about God doesn’t have a Son. Anyone who denies the Son is Anti-Christ. That would not be Jihad but Wrath and the Church=Ekklesia=”Called out Group” is not appointed to God’s Wrath. Islam & the Catholic Faith is as different as any could be! Joseph…My last response, What is your take on most of Galatians Chapter 2?…Now if “black ink on white paper” means anything as my Ole Pastor used to say “that says a mouth full”. Why did Jesus only have dealings with 2 Gentiles in scripture? Why is Jesus called in scripture the administrator of the circumcision, and in this area of scripture it says somewhat the same of Peter, and as Paul was to be to the uncircumcised? Who is the circumcised? Who is the uncircumcised? No offense, but for a time Peter was the Leader of the Jerusalem Church, which was made up of Jews. Constantine and his Mother could live a thousand life times and it will not change one iota of scripture. Scripture makes it clear as time went on Peter was no longer the Leader. You must look at scripture and not Catholic dogma. Paul carried a slightly different message to the Gentiles. In this 2nd Chapter Paul also straightens Peter out. The Jews failed in their call (short version), and the Lord picked Paul (a Jew of the tribe of Benjamin to carry the message to Jew and Gentile, but he was the Apostle to the Gentiles). Because in this dispensation mostly Gentiles are receiving the message of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 . James, Paul went to Peter and was even healed. Why didn’t Paul just go about his mission to the gentiles in that case. Why was he especially concerned with Peter? Peter had a dream and was taught by the Holy Spirit the TRUTH concerning this teaching. Peter was always and is still considered the leader on Earth, The Rock upon which Jesus would build His Church. Jesus told His Church in the Gospel, the manner in which Peter would die and reaffirmed his position with those three questions. Peter do you love me? Feed my sheep, lambs, sheep. Marian veneration is one of my big problems with the Roman Church. Now, don’t get me wrong. Mary was indeed a blessed woman, but co-redemptrix with Jesus Christ? Just how exactly is that NOT blasphemy? How does anyone even think that humble woman in the stable would be pleased by this? To quote Cris, “Frankly, it makes us want to vomit.” And “Queen of Heaven”?. Don’t even get me started. Just go read Jeremiah. And don’t say it’s okay because we sanctified it, because my Bible says that only God can sanctify through Jesus Christ.
Christy, It’s not like you need my help, but if I might take a few moments and relate a story which was told to me in the last few years. I have some friends whom the Lord saved about 40 years ago. They literally gave or sold everything at that time and have lived a Faith based ministry ever since. They travel the world sharing the Good News. The two countries which they go to often are Israel and India. Several years ago Bob and Peggy were in India and they had the opportunity to meet Mother Theresa. This is the story which was told to me and after Mother Theresa died, I reflect on It often. There at the Convent they were witnesses to a tree which grew in the courtyard, where all the sisters tied their prayer requests to the limbs for the Mother Mary to answer. After they were introduced Mother Theresa started walking away and Peggy followed her, and she kept asking Mother Theresa, “If Jesus is the only way”? Peggy told me she followed her a good many steps asking about Jesus, and that finally Mother Theresa turned around and said “No, It’s only through Mary”. It became public record after her death that she felt that for over 50 years her prayers were never answered, that they never got higher than the ceiling. You can have a million “good works”, but unless you believe in “THE WORK”…. 1 Corinthians 15 1-4 then it is all useless…God Bless, James
Interesting. I live in New Orleans, which is some 75% Roman Catholic, so I frequently get smacked in the face with Roman paganism. My poor father thought I had gone completely over to the dark side when I moved here of all places, despite all his many warnings about the evils of the Roman church. I don’t guess either one of us suspected at the time that it would come to be a sort of ministry for me speak the truth in this place. It is sometimes hard and I think I should just be quiet. Then I think about all that my Huguenot ancestors in France and my Lutheran ancestors in Germany went through just to be able to follow the Lord in truth and I know that I will continue to speak.

A couple of things have been on my mind since the final canonically elected pope [Francis] was elected. The 8 or so 13’s connected to his election and the numbers of Jesus [ 8 and 33 ] when he came back out on the Balcony at 8:33 to thank the people who had prayed for his election. The 13’s first showed up relative to this Papal election the 6 times the Virgin Mary visited Fatima Portugal in 1917. These 6 visits were NOT a social call but rather a warning from Heaven about the SIN of mankind and it’s results. These 13’s are not Mary’s identifying number [her number is the number of Grace: 5, 15, 555, 5+5+5, 153 and 1531, so if this does not identify the Blessed Virgin why did she choose the number 13? I believe it was to point to 2013! [also Leviticus 20:13?] This is the last year for the first three beasts of Daniel 7, and after the Tornado in Oklahoma, there are just 114 days left [11 and 4]. There is an intervening date 44 days after Oklahoma, which is 7-3 [no doubt to remind us of America’s biggest sin: Abortion made legal in 1973] then 70 days later we have the twelfth anniversary of 9-11 [the last, midnight, the end. I think after the one hour of war the false prophet and antichrist will show up. the Midpoint of Tribulation April 13, 2014 [Palm Sunday-East and West] will see his coronation. I don’t see Petrus Romanus [Francis] as being anything but a Good Chamberlain of Christ because I can read and the prophecy. It reads such that I don’t understand how evil can be read into it, unless you have chosen to embrace some blinding sin like we have witnessed in Obama’s supporters.
Then there is the prophecy instigated by Jesus Christ Himself,
of this final pope/chamberlain Francis “Peter” in John 21:

Even though there were so many, the net was not torn.

Peter does the dragging because it’s his responsibility as the first chamberlain appointed by Jesus to look after His sheep. As Christ’s chamberlain, Peter prefigures Pope Francis. The word ashore indicates this is a prophecy of the Final Pope guiding the entire faithful church across the finish line as the sun rises at the end of the dark night of Tribulation. The net full of 153 fish here symbolizes the Church (fish) being formed by the Holy Spirit working through Mary (153) in preparation for Jesus Christ’s return, and the fact that the fish are large symbolizes the mature, ( though downsized through the shedding of apostates), holy, faithful, End-Times Church with their garments washed clean in the Blood of the Lamb. The so many, the net is not torn phrase indicates that the many current Christian denominations will be reunited as One. When Jesus says: Come, have breakfast, He is asking them to share a meal, which symbolizes the Eucharistic meal/sacrifice, a reminder of the Last Supper and the most important doctrine which separates the denominations of the church.
I sent Cris an email a few days ago, thanking him for being a brave Christian. He has researched almost the very same things I have been researching for 10 years. And you don’t need any prophesy to figure this out if you have a command of scripture and working knowledge of history. A couple of times, he mentioned that Innocent III (one of the most purely evil men the world has ever known, IMHO) slaughtered more Christians in one day than any Roman emperor. The reference is to the siege of Beziers, the opening battle of the Albigensian crusade. At the onset, the people of the city had been asked to surrender the some 200 Cathars within their walls. They refused. When asked by a commander how they were to tell a Cathar from a Catholic, papal legate, Arnaud Aumery, replied “Kill them all. God will know his own.” And so they did. Some 20,000 souls were hacked to pieces in one day, the vast majority of whom were themselves Catholic. Every man, woman, child and babe at the breast in the city. This siege was the start of an extirpation that lasted for two generations. Death estimates for the crusade drun as high as 1 million for the duration of the war. But that was not enough. At the close of the war, the Roman church founded the Medieval Inquisition for the sole purpose of murdering every last living Cathar.
When I began to study the Albigensian Crusade, it did not take me very long to figure out who the bad guys were. My point is this: You do not get to go around murdering, thieving, and fornicating in the name of Our Lord, Jesus Christ and expect to get away with it. The Roman church is truly the only church of who it can be said, “her sins are mounted up to heaven and the blood of the martyrs is on her hands.”

In the Book of Revelation 19:11 the apostle John, saw a vision of a man coming whose name is “Faithful and True” who has a head with many crowns(meaning he has been here before) who speaks to many Nations. There is no secretive, partial return of Jesus coming in the clouds seven years prior to His second coming to quietly rapture away his spoiled rotten American Church. There are no time indicators in scripture suggesting a rapture coming before the tribulation. It occurs at the last trumpet (I Corinthians 15: 51-52) which is the seventh trumpet announcing the second coming of Jesus (Revelation 11:15).
SORRY RW, BUT NEVER Will The Church Go Through The Tribulation.
The Believing Church will not go through the Tribulation. There is a distinct difference between the Rapture and the Second Coming.
There are many differences RW in these two events as I will show you now here:
· Rapture: Jesus comes FOR His Church.
· 2nd Coming: Jesus comes back WITH His Church.
· Rapture: Jesus waits in the air for His Church.
· 2nd Coming: Jesus comes to the earth.
· Rapture: Church removed and unbelievers left behind.
· 2nd Coming: Unbelievers removed but Tribulation saints left behind.
· Rapture: He comes to present His bride to the Father.
· 2nd Coming: He comes to judge and set up His kingdom.
· Rapture: The marriage of the Lamb in Heaven follows the Rapture.
· 2nd Coming: The marriage is followed by war on earth.
· Rapture: It happens in the twinkling of an eye.
· 2nd Coming: Will be a steady view of His return.
· Rapture: Only the Church will see Him.
· 2nd Coming: Every eye will see Him.
· Rapture: Jesus descends with a shout.
· 2nd Coming: No shout is mentioned.
· Rapture: A resurrection takes place.
· 2nd Coming: No resurrection is mentioned.
· Rapture: It can happen at any time.
· 2nd Coming: Can only happen at the end of the Tribulation.
· Rapture: Angels are not sent. Jesus comes Himself.
· 2nd Coming: Angels are sent to gather people for judgment.
· Rapture: Earthly bodies are changed to Heavenly bodies.
· 2nd Coming: The Church returns with Heavenly bodies.
· Rapture: Jesus does not return on a white horse.
· 2nd Coming: Jesus does return on a white horse.
· Rapture: Jesus’ return is for His Church (His bride).
· 2nd Coming: Jesus returns for redeemed Israel and Tribulation saints.
· Rapture: It is a message of hope and comfort.
· 2nd Coming: It is a message of judgment.
I’m sure this is not an exhaustive listing, but with it we can see that the Rapture and the Second Coming are not one and the same. Don’t be confused by the “elect” in this verse RW. These are clearly those who have believed the Bible, the 44,000 witnesses & the two witnesses in Jerusalem which God in His Mercy has sent during the Tribulation. It is obvious that millions will come to believe when they see all the prophecies being fulfilled.
RW, the seven year period of Tribulation on earth will be a time of God’s wrath on earth like never before. He will judge the nations and through this self-same judgment bring Israel back in faith believing. “For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:17) But concerning His bride, the Church, He says, “And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.” (1 Thessalonians 1:10) He promised again in Revelation 3:10, “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” (Revelation 3:10)
Also RW, Revelation chapter four verse one is a clear reference to the Church being raptured. This passage is most definitely referring to the Church being taken up to Heaven via the Rapture.
“After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”
Note that verse one begins with the word “after” and ends the same. In chapter one of Revelation we see Jesus revealed (revelation) in His glory. In chapters two and three Jesus is speaking to the church. He then transfers the Apostle John to Heaven in chapter four verse one to continue the prophecy. In chapter one, we see the eternal “I Am.” In chapters two and three, we see the present day and age of the church period. Then beginning at chapter four, verse one He immediately takes us past the church age to the future.
If I go to see a play and there are three acts to the play, I will see one act after the other, not all three at once. Neither do they overlap in any way. If I attend a concert, I will listen to one song after the other, not all at one time. Neither do they overlap in any way. Neither do the church age and the Tribulation period co-exist or overlap in any way. One follows the other. As in a play, Act 1 comes BEFORE Act 2. Act 2 comes AFTER Act 1 and BEFORE Act 3. Act 3 comes AFTER Act 2. The Apostle John is shown the church age, and then he is raptured up to Heaven to see what follows the end of the church age. To me, you just can’t get any clearer than that. After means after.
Some say that the word “Rapture” is not in the Bible. That is only partly true, plus neither are the words “Bible” or “Trinity” found in the Bible, but they are just as true as the Rapture.
The word “Rapture” is derived from the Latin translation of “caught up” in
1 Thessalonians 4:17, “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” The Latin translation uses the word “rapturo,” and this is where the word “rapture” is derived. The Greek word is “harpazo,” and it means:
1. To seize, carry off by force
2. To seize on, claim for one’s self eagerly
3. To snatch out or away
A few other verses where “harpazo” is used are:
Acts 8:39, “And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.”
Acts 23:10, “And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.”
2 Corinthians 12:2-4, “I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.”
So there is no doubt RW that Jesus will come in the clouds and eagerly claim His bride the Church for Himself, by seizing her and snatching her away by force to Heaven at the end of the church age. The next act will be the Tribulation, AFTER the Rapture.
The Tribulation period is a time of intense judgment by God. What groom would beat the living daylights out of his bride and then say, “Okay, now let’s go get married.” It ain’t going to happen.
Some say that the Church has suffered persecution down through the years, so why would she not suffer during the Tribulation? The reason is quite simple. “Persecution” has come from evil men who carry out the deeds of their father, the Devil. Judgment comes from God. The Tribulation, as I have already stated, is not persecution. It is judgment. God is not going to judge those who He has already promised will be protected from His wrath to come. (See verses above.) Conclusion; the Church will not go through any part whatsoever of the Tribulation. She will be raptured (LT-rapturo), snatched up (GK-harpazo), BEFORE the Tribulation, and the Tribulation will commence AFTER the Rapture.
RW, Here is The Granddaddy Of Proofs
The pretribulation rapture is the only view that allows for the rapture to be imminent in its timing. All the other views require a number of prophetic occurrences to take place before the rapture can be declared imminent. To be looking for the imminent return of Christ, you have to believe in a pre-trib rapture.
Jesus repeatedly said that His return for the Church would be a surprise. The Lord even went beyond that by saying He would return “as a thief” when believers generally won’t be expecting Him to come for them.
“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Matthew 24:36).
“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing” (Matthew 24:42-46 KJV).
“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” (Matthew 25:13).
“And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power” (Acts 1:7).
Because we have no way to refute the fact that we will not know the timing of our Lord’s return, the tribulation is a barrier to the rapture. No wonder the late John Walvoord called imminency “the heart of Pretribulationism.”
This type of “any-moment” language doesn’t fit a post-trib rapture. If Jesus were prevented from coming until after the battle of Magog, the rise of Antichrist, and the Mark of the Beast, we would have no need to watch for Him before the tribulation.
If the Church were required to go through the seven-year tribulation, you would expect the New Testament writers to have warned us to be prepared for trying times. On the contrary, the New Testament writers repeatedly tell the Church to be comforted by the “coming of the Lord” (1 Thes 4:18). The word “comfort” alone strongly implies the rapture will take place before the tribulation.
Some anti-imminency folks try to solve the problem they have with the rapture’s any-moment occurrence by redefining it as merely indicating that Christ will return soon. The speed of Christ’s advent is not the issue. If an event is required to take place before the Lord can return, there is no need to remain watchful.
If a person should make it through the tribulation until the point when the mid-trib, pre-wrath, and post-trib folks expect the rapture to occur, it would then become possible for the rapture to be classified as “imminent.” However, once you solve the problem of imminency, you create another one regarding the restrictions against knowing the timing of the rapture.
Because the duration of the tribulation is already known, post-tribbers have the hardest time dealing with the rapture’s timing. Some of them have tried to suggest that believers who make it through the tribulation will lazily lose track of the nearness of Christ’s second coming.
If a Christian has been lucky enough to survive a host of apocalyptic calamities and elude the Antichrist’s secret police for at least 3 1/2 years, I cannot imagine that he would be oblivious to the nearness of the Lord’s return at the 7-year mark. If I were reduced to the point of having to hide in a forest and forage through dead tree bark to find beetles and grubs to sustain myself, I’m certain my every thought would be focused on the Lord’s return.
Maranatha
One the strongest cases one can make for the early Church expecting an imminent return of Christ is to note their use of the word maranatha, which was used as a greeting in those days. When believers gathered or parted, they didn’t say “hello” or “goodbye”; they would say “Maranatha!”
I’ve encountered some writings that say Maranatha is Hebrew and Greek, but it is actually an Aramaic expression. In fact, it is made up of three Aramaic words: Mar, which means “Lord”; ana, which means “our”; and tha, which means “come.”
So when you put it together, maranatha means “Our Lord, come.” It perfectly conveys the concept that the Lord could come at any moment. Maranatha is used once in the Bible by Paul as part of a curse. In 1 Corinthians 16:22, Paul said, “If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema. Maranatha.” The word “anathema” means “banned,” so Paul was saying, “Let him be banned from our Lord’s coming.”
The interesting thing about maranatha is that it comes in the form of a petition. When a Christian in the early Church would make this statement, he was actually petitioning the Lord to come. This obviously implies the belief that it was possible for Jesus to answer the appeal.
If members of the first-century Church believed that certain events needed to take place before the Savior could return, they would have been silly to greet each other with “maranatha.” They lived nearly 2,000 years ago, and yet they seem to have had a deeper awareness of imminency than many of today’s Christians.

A host of Scriptures indicate the Church should expect an imminent return of their Lord. The opponents of imminency constantly try to pick apart each individual reference, but they should look at the big picture. An overwhelming number of verses in the Bible support imminency.
I’ve been able to easily locate 22 passages that imply that the coming of Christ remains an imminent event. All you really need is one verse to prove a point, but the weight of evidence should cause even the most hard-core imminency foes to rethink their stance.

These are some of the events which must occur before the return of Jesus. Paul unequivocally makes this point. Many early and medieval Christians often believed in the imminent return of Jesus because they falsely believed they were already IN the tribulation period and would soon come out of it.
The apostasy must occur and the antichrist revealed before our Lord Jesus returns to gather His elect. Hence, no apostasy and no antichrist means no imminent return of Jesus.

‘Escape” doesn’t do it; ‘before the tribulation’ would do it for me, but you can’t provide it because it isn’t there in scripture, but I can show you where it does read ‘after the tribulation’ in context and in conjunction with the ‘gathering of the elect’, aka ‘the Rapture. The word ‘escape’ does not offer any direct evidence for the dispensational pretribulational rapture doctrine. Believers can escape God’s wrath while remaining on earth. Before they began their exodus, the entire Hebrew nation escaped the wrath of God while the plagues where going on around them in Egypt.
Once again, show me where the rapture is to occur before Daniel’s 70th week (the 7 year peace treaty) or the 3.5 year tribulation period. Whenever the rapture (gathering of the elect) is mentioned, it is mentioned in conjunction with the Second Coming of Christ and is qualified by the modifier ‘after the tribulation’ or ‘last trumpet’. If the pretrib view was correct, it would be the last trumpet occurring before the first trumpet. That doesn’t make any sense. Scripture explains scripture. The scriptural context and logic demands that if the last trumpet signifies the Rapture as it does in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, and we read that the last trumpet in Revelation is the 7th trumpet which announces the Second Coming of Messiah Jesus (Revelation 11:15), then we are to conclude that the Rapture occurs at the last trumpet which coincides with the Second Coming of Christ. I don’t know how it can be any clearer than that.
Jesus Himself sets the entire context of His second coming and rapture with the phrasal expression “AFTER the tribulation”….”will gather His elect” (Matthew 24:29-31). Jesus even warns against ANY secret or partial return to planet earth. He plainly warns that His coming will be “as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” (Matthew 24:27)
The true view is the ‘Historic Premillennial view’, which states that the Rapture occurs AFTER the tribulation, just as the Gospels recorded it. It is called ‘Historic Premillennialism’ because it is the view that dates back to Papias and Polycarp, who were pupils of the Apostle John, and so many of the other early church leaders and even the apostles themselves, including Paul (2Thessalonians 2:1-4; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52). The view is expressed in scripture and was held by the early church until the Amillennialism of Augustine and the Alexandrian School crept in and began to dominate Christian eschatology.
The newer 1830, Margaret McDonald, Scofield/Darby pretribulational view is a bogus doctrine. It’s a weak doctrine at best and has no scriptural proof texts. Let’s discard theological systems of thought (dispensationalism or even covenantalism) that doesn’t allow the scriptures to breathe on its own. Let the Bible speak for itself. PP RW ! Let us carefully dissect what Jesus predicts for the times just ahead! I boldly say with confidence that Jesus has told us the future from this moment forward! I am convinced His words are speaking to this generation at this very hour! Listen to Jesus’ prophesy in the Luke 17:26-30 that in the “days” He, the “Son of man,” is about to break into earth’s history, mankind will be doing certain things. It will be a time like the days of Noah before the Flood and the days of Lot while he was still in Sodom.
PP RW, the Lord said, will be eating, drinking, marrying, building, buying, selling, and planting. Things will be going along pretty much as normal for the time. The Lord indicates no catastrophic, worldwide socioeconomic breakdown of any sort in this time immediately before “the Son of man is revealed” (Luke17:30)–the time He breaks into human history.
This time cannot be the Second Advent of Revelation 19:11. At the time the Lord of Lords and King of Kings breaks through the planetary darkness of death and destruction at Armageddon, perhaps as many as three-fourths of all people on earth will have died as a result of wars, pestilence, and geophysical disasters brought about by God’s judgment and wrath upon an incorrigibly wicked, unrepentant world of earth-dwellers.
In other words, planet earth’s living conditions at the time of Christ’s return in power and glory at Armageddon will not be anything like living conditions at the time of His intervention into human affairs as He describes in the days of Noah, days of Lot prophecy. At the end of the seven-year Tribulation period, it will be anything but business as usual. It will truly be hell on earth when Jesus comes to destroy all human government and the soul-rending carnage it has produced.
So, Jesus, in the Luke 17 account, was foretelling the days leading up to the time when He calls His church to Himself–”His church” meaning all Awake Catholic as well as our separated Christian born-again believers who have lived and died during the Church Age (Age of Grace). This is known as the Rapture. To learn more about this stupendous event, read 1 Corinthians 15:51-55, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, John 14:1-3, and Revelation 4:1-2.
To repeat PP RW, Jesus was not describing His coming back to earth in the Luke 17:26-30 prophecy. He was telling about His coming to above the planet to receive His people–Catholics, and separated Christians—to Himself. The Church, which will then will accompany Him back to the heavenly places He has prepared for them in the Father’s house–heaven.

PP RW, many believe that Daniel 9:24-27 is the most important passage of prophecy in all of Scripture. Almost every mistake I’ve run across in studying the various interpretations of End Times Prophecy can be traced back to a misunderstanding of this passage. Let’s begin the year with an updated and expanded study of this important prophecy.
Before plowing into it we’ll back up a little and review the context. Daniel was an old man, probably in his eighties. He’d been in Babylon for nearly 70 years and knew from reading the recently completed scroll of Jeremiah’s writings (specifically the part we know as Jeremiah 25:8-11) that the 70-year captivity God had ordained for Israel was just about over (Daniel 9:2).
The reason for the captivity had been Israel’s insistence upon worshiping the false gods of their pagan neighbors. Its duration of 70 years came from the fact that for 490 years they had failed to let their farmland lie fallow one year out of every seven as God had commanded in Leviticus 25:1-7. The Lord had been patient all that time but finally had sent them to Babylon to give the land the 70 years of rest that were due it. (2 Chron. 36:21)
The beginning of Daniel 9 documents Daniel’s prayer, reminding the Lord that the 70 year time of punishment was nearly over and asking for mercy on behalf of his people. Before he could finish his prayer, the angel Gabriel appeared to him and spoke the words that we know as Daniel 9:24-27. Let’s read the whole thing to get the overview and then take it apart verse by verse.
Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and your Holy City to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most Holy. Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until The Anointed One the Ruler comes there will be seven weeks and sixty two weeks. It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench but in times of trouble. After the sixty two weeks the Anointed One will be cut off and have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue till the end and desolations have been decreed. He will confirm a covenant with many for one week. In the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the Temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation until the end that is decreed is poured out on him (Daniel 9:24-27).
No prophecy in all of Scripture is more critical to our understanding of the end times than these four verses. A few basic clarifications are in order first, then we’ll interpret the passage verse by verse. The Hebrew word translated weeks (or sevens) refers to a period of 7 years, like the English word decade refers to a period of 10 years. It literally means “a week of years.” So 70 weeks is 70 X 7 years or 490 years. This period is divided into three parts, 7 weeks or 49 years, 62 weeks or 434 years, and 1 week or 7 years. Let’s begin.
Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and your Holy City to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most Holy (place) (Daniel 9:24).
Sitting upon His heavenly throne, God decreed that six things would be accomplished for Daniel’s people (Israel) and Daniel’s Holy City (Jerusalem) during a specified period of 490 years. (I’ve inserted the word “place” after Holy at the end of the verse to clarify the fact that it refers to the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem.)
We should be aware that in Hebrew these things read a little differently. Literally, God had determined to;
1. restrict or restrain the transgression (also translated rebellion)
2. seal up their sins (as if putting them away in a sealed container)
3. make atonement (restitution) for their iniquity
4. bring them into a state of everlasting righteousness
5. seal up (same word as #2) vision and prophecy
6. anoint (consecrate) the most Holy place (sanctuary)
In plain language, God would put an end to their rebellion against Him, put away their sins and pay the penalties they had accrued, bring the people into a state of perpetual righteousness, fulfill the remaining prophecies, and anoint the Temple. This was to be accomplished through their Messiah (Jesus) because no one else could do it. Had they accepted Him as their savior their rebellion against God would have ended. Their sins would have all been forgiven, and the full penalty paid for them. They would have entered into a state of eternal righteousness, all their prophecies would have been fulfilled and the rebuilt temple would have been consecrated. It should be noted here that although it appears to have been accepted by Him, God never dwelt in the 2nd Temple, nor was the ark of the covenant and its mercy seat ever present therein.
Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until The Anointed One the Ruler comes there will be seven weeks and sixty two weeks. It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench but in times of trouble (Daniel 9:25).
Here is a clear prophecy of the timing of the First Coming. When this message was given to Daniel by the angel Gabriel, Jerusalem had lain in ruin for nearly 70 years and the Jews were captive in Babylon. Counting forward for 62 + 7 periods of 7 years each (a total of 483 years) from a future decree giving the Jews permission to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, they should expect the Messiah.
To avoid confusion, it’s important to distinguish the decree that freed the Jews from their captivity from the one that gave them permission to rebuild Jerusalem.
When he conquered Babylon in 535BC Cyrus the Persian immediately freed the Jews. It had been prophesied 150 years earlier in Isaiah 44:24-45:6 and was fulfilled in Ezra 1:1-4. But according to Nehemiah 2:1 the decree to rebuild Jerusalem was given in the first month of the 20th year of his reign by King Artaxerxes of Persia (March of 445 BC on our calendar, about 90 years later). Exactly 483 years after that decree the Lord Jesus rode in to Jerusalem on a donkey to shouts of “Hosanna”! It was the only day in His life that He permitted His followers to proclaim Him as Israel’s King, fulfilling Daniel’s prophecy to the day! The Hebrew in Daniel 9:25 calls Him Messiah the Prince, denoting the fact that He was coming as the Anointed Son of the King and was not yet crowned King Himself.
In Luke 19:41-45, Jesus reminded the people of the specific nature of this prophecy. As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace–but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.” He held them accountable for knowing Daniel 9:24-27.
A few days later He extended that accountability to those who would be alive in Israel during the End Times. “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel–let the reader understand– then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. (Matt 24:15-16) They will also be required to understand Daniel 9. His Holiness & His Eminence must begin teaching this to those in Israel!!!
After the sixty two weeks the Anointed One will be cut off and have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue till the end and desolations have been decreed (Daniel 9:26).
First came 7 sevens (49 years) and then 62 sevens (434 years) for a total of 69 sevens or 483 years. The Hebrew word for Anointed One is Mashaich (Messiah in English). At the end of this 2nd period their Messiah would be cut off, which means to be executed or literally destroyed in the making of a covenant, having received none of the honor, glory and blessing the Scriptures promised Him.
Make no mistake about it. Jesus had to die so these 6 promises could come true. No one else in Heaven or on Earth could accomplish this. We can only imagine how different things would have been if they had accepted Him as their Messiah and let Him die for their sins so He could bring them into everlasting righteousness with His resurrection. But of course God knew they wouldn’t, so He had to do things the hard way.
Do you realize what that means? It wasn’t killing the Messiah that put the Jews at odds with God. After all He came to die for them. No. It’s that in killing Him, they refused to let His death pay for their sins so He could save them. This had the effect of making His death meaningless to them. That’s what severed the relationship.
Because of that, we now get the first hint that all would not go well. Following the crucifixion the people of a ruler yet to come would destroy Jerusalem and the Temple, the same Temple that God decreed would be consecrated. The Israelites would be scattered abroad and peace would elude the world.
We all know that Jesus was crucified and 38 years later the Romans put the torch to the city and the Temple destroying both. Surviving Jews were forced to flee for their lives and in the ensuing 2000 years I don’t believe a single generation has escaped involvement in a war of some kind.
After the crucifixion something strange happened: The Heavenly clock stopped. 69 of the 70 weeks had passed and all that was prophesied to happen during those 483 years had come to pass but there was still one week (7 years) left. There are hints in the Old Testament that the clock had stopped several times before in Israel’s history when for one reason or another they were either under subjugation or out of the land. And in the New Testament we’re also given hints that while God is dealing with the Church, time ceases to exist for Israel (Acts 15:13-18). But the clearest indication of the stopped clock is that the events foretold in Daniel 9:27 simply haven’t happened yet.
He will confirm a covenant with many for one week. In the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the Temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation until the end that is decreed is poured out on him(9:27).
It’s vital to our understanding of the End Times that we realize two things here. First, the Age of Grace didn’t follow the Age of Law, it merely interrupted the Age of Law seven years short of its promised duration. These seven years have to be completed for God to accomplish the six things the angel listed in verse 24 for Israel.
And second, the Age of Grace was not the next step in the progression of God’s overall plan, but was a deviation from it. Once the rapture comes, nothing like the Age of Grace will ever happen again (Ephes. 2:6-7). Even when Israel accepts the New Covenant, as Jeremiah 31:31-34 promises, they won’t enjoy the same benefits the Church has enjoyed. The relationship the Church has with the Lord will never be repeated with any other group. Ever.
But before we try to understand the 70th week let’s review a rule of grammar that will help make our interpretation correct. The rule is this: Pronouns refer us back to the closest previous noun. “He”, being a personal pronoun, refers to the closest previous personal noun, in this case the “ruler who will come.” So a ruler who will come from the territory of the old Roman Empire will confirm a 7 year covenant with Israel that permits them to build a Temple and re-instate their Old Covenant worship system. 3 1/2 years later he will violate the covenant by setting up an abomination that causes the Temple to become desolate, putting an end to their worship. This abomination brings the wrath of God down upon him and he will be destroyed.
The most obvious way in which we know these things haven’t happened is that the Jewish Old Covenant worship system requires a Temple and there hasn’t been one since 70 AD when the Romans destroyed it.
Some say this prophecy was fulfilled during the Roman destruction but most believe it’s yet future, partly because of the term Abomination that causes Desolation. It’s a specific insult to God that has happened only once previously. Antiochus Epiphanes, a powerful Syrian king, had attacked Jerusalem and entered the Temple area in 168BC. There he had sacrificed a pig on the Temple altar and erected a statue of the Greek god Zeus with his own face on it. He then required everyone to worship it on pain of death. This rendered the Temple unfit for worshiping God and so incensed the Jews that they revolted and defeated the Syrians. This is all recorded in Jewish history (1st Maccabees) where it’s called the Abomination of Desolation. The subsequent cleansing of the Temple is celebrated to this day in the Feast of Hanukkah.
Paul warned us that in the latter days a world leader will become so powerful that he will exalt himself above everything that is called god or is worshiped and will stand in the Temple proclaiming himself to be God (2 Thes 2:4). In Rev 13:14-15 we’re told that he’ll have a statue of himself erected and require everyone to worship it on pain of death. In Matt 24:15-21 Jesus said that the Abomination that causes Desolation spoken of by Daniel will kick off the Great Tribulation, a period of time 3 1/2 years long that coincides with the last half of Daniel’s 70th week. The similarities between this coming event and the one from history being so obvious, most scholars are persuaded that one points to the other since nothing in the intervening years fits so completely.
Soon And Very Soon
A new leader will soon emerge on the scene, a man with great personal charisma. Following a devastating war in the Middle East he’ll present a plan to restore peace, by which he will quickly captivate and control the world. Since all true believers will have recently disappeared from Earth in the rapture of the Church, he’ll have no trouble persuading most remaining inhabitants that he is the promised Messiah, the Prince of Peace. He will astound and amaze them all with feats of diplomacy and conquest, even performing the supernatural.
When he claims to be God, all hell will break loose on Earth and 3 1/2 years of the most terrible times mankind has ever known will threaten their very existence. But before they’re all destroyed the real Prince of Peace will return and overthrow this impostor. He will set up His kingdom on earth, a kingdom that will never be destroyed or left to another.
Having given His life to finish transgression, put an end to sin, atone for wickedness and bring in everlasting righteousness, and having fulfilled all Biblical vision and prophecy, He will anoint the most Holy Place and receive all the honor, glory and blessing the Scriptures promise Him. Israel will finally have her Kingdom back and will live in peace with God in her midst forever.
PP RW “Escape” is “EKPHUEGO” in the Greek Bible and means taken out of time & space. You forget the plagues were the beginning like it is RIGHT NOW on the Earth. First, refocus.
The debate here is over the timing of the rapture, not whether Christians escape God’s wrath. Yes, scripture does show that believers will escape God’s wrath. We are in agreement that Christians escape God’s wrath; we are not in agreement over the timing of the rapture which is related, but a different topic.
Secondly, when people begin to lose debates they resort to low brow tactics of name calling. Ad hominen remarks just make one look desperate at best and a psychopath at worst. It doesn’t accomplish anything.
Thirdly, in the 90s, I took Koine Greek under Dr. Michael McKenzie of USC. My text book’s author was the late J. Gresham Machen, and no, I don’t need to go to your comments for answers. You need to address my arguments which shows the rapture occurs AFTER the tribulation. Instead, you drift off the subject matter and go into a dissertation on Daniel chapter 9.
Here’s what you need to do, as I have repeated myself over and over again, address my specific argument over the verses I have provided for you. Don’t give me amorphous words like ‘escape’ or ‘imminency’, for these things can apply to our situation after the tribulation. Give me a time reference showing that the rapture occurs BEFORE the tribulation. You can’t, but I can show proof texts that the rapture occurs AFTER the tribulation.
Everything you have presented, including all the tangential material, offers no time reference for the rapture event.
Again, here’s my simple challenge to you:
In scripture, give me a time reference that clearly shows the rapture occuring before the tribulation. Don’t give me ‘escape’ because I agree we Christians will escape God’s wrath. ‘Escape’ mentions nothing about the timing of the rapture itself.
Once again, I can show you in scripture the timing of the rapture – the gathering of the elect – and it is juxtaposed with the introductory phrase “After the tribulation”. Jesus Himself gave you the context of His Second Coming AND the rapture with those words “AFTER the tribulation.
Address my argument without sending 14 thousand replies and stay focused. I don’t have the time, nor the inclination to read hundreds of replies on a comments section of an outstanding Christian website.
Again, the debate is over the timing of the rapture. Does it occur before Daniel’s 70th week, the 7 year peace treaty, wherein the later half is known as the great tribulation, or does it occur after the tribulation, as I have so amply demonstrated with scriptural proof texts you refuse to address.
Give it up. There is no proof for a pretribulational rapture; the rapture is after the tribulation. It is posttribulational.

How can you claim with a straight face that I have not sighted scripture proving that the Rapture is Pre-Trib??? You have absolutely ignored my dozens of Pre-Trib Rapture scripture proofs. Again, just scroll and read my previous blogs! One of my favorites is the detailed list of the differences between the Rapture and the 2nd Coming. These detailed lists cover numerous scriptures found throughout the Bible which prove a Pre-Trib rapture. You have not addressed the “common sense” arguments such as, using Hitler as an example of a small “a” antichrist. This theme connects to the scripture about the “Restrainer” being removed BEFORE the man of sin can be revealed. Don’t be in such a hurry to have the last word. There is no rush (Unless the Rapture happens) to reply! Take your time and read the evidence already posted. If you are honest with yourself, I’m sure you will agree the evidence is overwhelming that we will not be “Caught Up” to ONLY make a U-TURN and come back right away.

I just want to present to you these verses which clearly point to the exact timing of the rapture. Jesus said in Matthew and Mark that He will “gather together His elect” (the rapture), and that this would occur “after the tribulation” It states this succinctly and clearly in Matthew 24: 29-31 and Mark 13:24-27 and Mark 13:37 (Jesus says to ALL – Gentile and Jew).
To clarify my previous post in response to another poster’s comment, I can accept his point to dismiss the expression ‘peace treaty’. ‘Covenant’ is a more accurate biblical term. I was merely referring to Daniel’s 70th week mentioned in 9:24-27, which has not yet occurred. So, no problem there.
To reiterate my main contention to my dispensationalist ‘pretrib rapture’ brothers who worship, adore and trust in Jesus (Y’shua) the Messiah for salvation – that includes FP – I strongly point to those five primary verses which actually point to the timing of the rapture event. There are:
1) Matthew 24:29-31 “…AFTER the tribulation…..they will gather His elect..”
2) Mark 13:24-27 and 13:37 “…and AFTER that tribulation….gather His elect..” [in verse 37, Jesus
declares it is meant for ALL believers, Jew and Gentile]
3) I Corinthians 15:51-52 “(passage begins by describing the rapture with the dead in Christ rising
first)…at the LAST trumpet”..
4) Revelation 11:15 “Then the seventh angel sounded (his trumpet)..” – [only 7 trumpets
mentioned in Revelation; the last, the seventh, announces Christ’s
return; combine it with the previous Corinthians passage to show the
rapture occurs with the return of Jesus, which is after the tribulation]
5) 2 Thessalonians 2:4 “…concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ AND our gathering to
Him…(return of Jesus AND rapture events occurring together in close
proximity to one another); for THAT day (Day of the Lord marks return of
Jesus and rapture) will NOT come unless the falling away (apostasy)
comes FIRST, AND the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition…

I haven’t ignored your pretrib “proof” texts; I am just not convinced that any of the passages you cite indicate a definitive time element to support your position; e.g., there’s no direct mention of the rapture occurring BEFORE the tribulation in any scriptural passage.
If the Matthew 24:29-31 and the Mark 13:24-27 passages had started in this manner:
“BEFORE the tribulation,….they will gather His elect” then I would have no problem accepting the pretrib rapture doctrine; but as it stands, both those verses declare the direct timing of the rapture event as coming after the tribulation. This is why I am an Historic Premillennialist.
I hold to the post tribulation rapture doctrine, as do theologians Phil Fernandes, Millard Erickson, Douglas Moo, Robert Gundry, the late George Ladd, the late religious apologist Walter Martin and eschatologist Steve Quayle. I have theological and apologetic works in my personal library from all kinds of evangelical scholars who espouse all the different premillennial viewpoints – pretrib, midtrib, prewrath and posttrib. I even have other eschatological works covering postmillennialism and amillennialism, which I don’t agree with, but have read in order to comprehend their doctrinal points. Even though this is a non-salvific, minor doctrine that believers can disagree on, it is still an important doctrine to examine.
Oops, forgot one other point.
The Holy Spirit does restrain evil, but that passage (2 Thessalonians 2:6-7) does not read that it occurs via the rapture event. That is a forced interpretation, a reading into the text (eisegesis). It just declares that ‘He’ (Holy Spirit) who restrains evil will step out of the way (“until He is taken out of the way” v.7). ‘He’ is not the rapture of the church. No specific mentioning of the rapture event in verses 6 or 7. This passage doesn’t specifically state how the mystery of lawlessness will be released, only that the Holy Spirit will step aside to allow it (the mystery of lawlessness) to take its course. As one of many possible ways, It’s logically possible for the Holy Spirit to unrestrain the mystery of lawlessness via the rapture of the church, but it doesn’t specifically cite the rapture. However, earlier in the same chapter, the rapture (our gathering together to Him) with the return of our Lord Jesus Christ IS specifically mentioned to occur on the Day of the Lord, which occurs after the tribulation and is preceded by the apostasy and revealing of the son of perdition, the antichrist.
Verses 6 and 7 of chapter 2 does not mention the ‘gathering of elect’ (rapture), only the pronoun ‘He’ is mentioned. ‘He’ is the Holy Spirit, not the Bride of Christ, the church.
In Matthew 24:29-31 and Mark 13: 24-27 , the ‘gathering of elect’ (rapture) is mentioned in context and in conjunction with the phrasal expression ‘after the tribulation’.
I think the “Rapture” is at the end as well, or possibly the midpoint, but definitely not the beginning.
But there is no 7 year peace treaty, That scripture is referring to the Confirmation (or the Invocation of the Curse Clause) of the Abrahamic Covenant.
In any event, it is not possible for any such covenant to be 7 years duration, since we are nearly half-way through the Seven Years, the mid-point being next April, Palm Sunday, when the Anti-Christ will have his coronation. (Tribulation started October 13, 2010 and will likely end on God’s Jubilee 120; 2017 [New Year’s 5778] )
The Great War of Dan 8, 11, between the first 3 beasts of Dan 7, and also described in Revelation 17, 18 ,19 twice post-poned, is now about 75 days away. In a bit of divine irony (and Foreshadowing) the first three Beasts met for the first time 70 years ago in 1943 at Tehran Iran, and Iran will also be the flashpoint for Daniel’s WWIII.
CT and RW, I am not trying to start an argument, but I do enjoy the debate. I am sure I have probably asked some of these questions on earlier posts, but we learn by repetition. If the Body of Christ was a mystery in the mind of the Risen Lord until he revealed it to the Apostle Paul, and if the last seven years of the 490 year curse was placed on the Jewish people, why should the Body of Christ be counted in these seven years when she wasn’t in the first 483 years? The Risen Lord revealed eight or nine “Mysteries” to the Apostle Paul, depending on how one counts. The Body of Christ was a secret in the mind of God until revealed. Another was the catching away of the Body of Christ, which in truth is a sign-less event. If you want to put a marker then perhaps one could use the “until the fulness of the gentiles be come in”? Paul is the Apostle to the Gentiles. I believe he is the only writer in scripture that mentions by name “Dispensations”. I believe he mentions it four times. I ask people often this question, and they look at me like I am crazy. During this dispensation, how many different people groups are in this world? If one looks at 1 Corinthians 10:32 I believe the answer is three: Jews, Gentiles and the Church of God or a better Pauline term “the Body of Christ”. After the “Catching Away” there are only two groups left the Jews (Daniel 9:24-27) and an Unbelieving world (Gentiles) that wants to take Jerusalem and remove them from off the face of the earth. During this Dispensation one can be a Jew, and then come to Christ, or one can be a Gentile, and then come to Christ, and they are a “New Creation” . So three groups. Just another point or two. Why did Jesus only deal with two gentiles during his earthly ministry? This is a very important point, if one looks at it from a dispensational view. What happens after the “Catching Away” the Lord deals with Israel during the Tribulation (Seven Years) so she will be readied for her coming King and Kingdom. (Short Version) God Bless, James
Jesus in his earthly ministry only dealt with two gentiles, and if you count the woman at the well two and a half? Why would this be? In other areas of scripture he instructed his disciples not to go into the way of the gentiles. There is an old saying about scripture everything in that book is for us, but not everything in that book is to us. What must one have for a Kingdom? A King, and Jesus came during his earthly ministry to present himself as Israel’s King. I am not going to spend much time here on references. They can be looked up. He told the woman (gentile) who wanted her daughter healed that he didn’t come for the dogs, but her reply moved him. Don’t the dogs eat from the scraps that fall from the Master’s table? He healed the gentile Centurion’s son literally by proxy after he sent his servant. In Matt 24 the rapture isn’t being discussed. How could it be? His disciples in particular wanted to know in most of these end time discussions, when will Israel get her promised Kingdom? They had a vested interest, they would sit on thrones in the Kingdom. A “Mystery” is a secret in the mind of God until he decides to reveal it. The Risen Savior revealed these mysteries to Paul. Now one might say they were hinted at, but a secret is a secret, and they were given to Paul for the Body of Christ. Haven’t you ever ask yourself why didn’t the disciples line up at the tomb on resurrection morning? So think about it for a moment or two, they spent all this time with him, and yet they didn’t get the fact he would rise from the dead? These things were hid from them, and another of mysteries is the blinding of Israel for the gentiles sake. I could say hundreds of more things, but there is a Heavenly people, the Body of Christ and there is an earthly people Israel. Scripture makes it clear the Lord calls Israel his Elect. As a member of the Body of Christ, I can say without a doubt, I can’t comprehend, How Elect I Am as the Apostle Paul reveals to us through scripture. I think human nature tends to looks for complexity where simple truths can often be found. Obviously there is a Italian/Roman connection in Pope Francis’ lineage. However, simple observation of the Pope’s manner and in particular his actions since taking office, point to the fact that Francis is very much like the ‘Peter’ of scripture is he not? If we judge a man not by his words (like previous Popes) but by his ACTION for which Francis has visibly demonstrated to be of the most humble Christian virtue, then I would say he is very much ‘Peter the Roman’.
In 1880 Fr. M.J. O’Brien published his “Historical and Critical Account” of the St. Malachy prophecy. And in this work Fr. O’Brien took the liberty of conflating the last two prophecies, paragraphs 112 and 113. That’s right: look at page no. 311 of Wion’s Lignum Vitae and you will see the difference in what Wion published and what O’Brien transcribed. Now, “sedebit” may be translated in several ways, one of which is: “He will sit.” So paragraph 112 may read:
112. “He will sit in the final persecution. of the Holy Roman Church.”
This is the St. Malachy prophecy that applies to Francis I. Translated in this way, which is entirely proper, paragraph 112 stands on its own.
Another serious error that Fr. O’Brien (with all due respect) made was to assume that the word “Finis” simply indicated that “Petrus Romanus” would be the final Pope. O’Brien: “It … says that he is to be the last.” Given the rather ominous nature of 113, I would think that “Finis” refers to something else.
Every writer of every book and every commentator on every blog has bought into O’Brien’s error conflating 112 with 113 and thereby numbering Petrus Romanus as number 112. But Peter the Roman is actually number 113 in the St. Malachy prophecy, so he cannot be Francis I.
Peter is father – Jupiter ~ Jew Peter ~ Dyaus Pitar ~ Father of the Gods ~ Zeus ~ Deus ~Suez backwards, though that is probably a later name than the Sanskrit citation.
For all the gloom and doom, with the multitude of dis-information now being spread, along with the artificial Moon above our heads, it maybe difficult to see the light at the end of this material tunnel.
Important now to realize that the Jewish faith has been mislead since 625 b.c. when an apostate group of Rabbi’s seized control of the temple mount, changing the day of Pass-Over to the Waning Moon night. This was officially the end of ancient Israel, as well as it”s devotion to the Creator.

This years date will be April 13th to the evening of the 14th, in 2014. Then to be followed by the “Seven days of Unleavened Bread” in view of the seven thousand years of (rebirth) existence of mankind to date. Non of this declaration is followed by the Jewish faith, so you may now ignore any and all misleading information that the Rabbi’s may try to confuse you with.

The Bible predicted Israel would become

This verse talks about Zion (Israel) giving birth before she goes
into labor. What could this possibly mean? We saw the verse above that
talked about a country being born in one day, but what does it mean when
it says she then went into labor? In his book, The Case for Israel,
Alan Dershowitz gives a description of what happened to Israel right
after she became a nation: “As soon as Israel declared its independence,
Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon attacked it, with help from
Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Libya. Arab armies, with the help of
Palestinian terrorists, determined to destroy the new Jewish state and
exterminate its population.” At the time that this prophecy was made,
were any countries made before they were fought for? Doesn’t a
war usually happen before a country is born? What a strange and yet
accurate prophecy! Israel indeed did give birth before she went into
labor.

113 is the correct number of prophecies in Wion’s Lignum Vitae. Fr. O’Brien confused everyone by conflating #112 with #113. But 112 (for Pope Francis I) stands on it’s own and reads:
112: He will sit in the final persecution. of the Holy Roman Church.
113, Petrus Romanus, follows of course. But we are not there yet.
And, if one looks at page 311 of Wion’s Lignum Vitae, one can plainly see that 112 forms its own paragraph. Then go to CXII in O’Brien’s “Historical and Critical Account” and notice how 112 has been conflated with 113. Why has every writer and every blogger bought into Fr. O’Brien’s error?
